La Dolce Mela, our organic farm, is the ideal place to enjoy an absolutely magical holiday in Trentino. From the architecture to the energy supplies, our business pays homage to the agricultural heritage all around.
We believe in a green future
Our apple orchards are cultivated in accordance with the strictest organic regulations.
We produce sustainably and protect the environment and the climate. We don’t use any form of herbicides, plant hormones, pesticides, or synthetic chemical fertilisers, so that many small ecosystems can develop. We support biodiversity on our farm through various measures. For example, hedges and shrubs are planted at the borders of the orchards, providing a refuge and breeding ground for numerous insects. A further step towards sustainability – fundamental for the preservation of our apples – is the support of the “Savingbees” organic Alpine beekeeping oasis in Val Concei valley.
Bees and orchards are a perfect combination for a balanced environment. The bees used to pollinate apple trees are an example of the perfect synergy between the environment and crops, as the presence of bees is an important index of the well-being of the environment. With these measures, we’re trying to improve the balance of the environment for the next generation and the one after that and to secure the foundations for tomorrow’s life.
